Iowa visits Kansas

Ok, so the title is a bit deceiving.  We didn't actually go to Kansas, we went to Wisconsin.  We went to visit my dear friend Dietrie who lives outside of Madison.  Dietrie was one of my roommates while I was at Disney World.  She is originally from Kansas so is therefore known as "Kansas".  There was also Alaska, Ohio and of course Iowa.  We were at Disney World fall into winter of 2000, which I can't believe is over 10 years ago.  It was one of the most awesome experiences of my life and I came home with 3 fabulous friends who mean so much to me.  We used to get together once a year for our Disney reunion but now of course with children and busy lives it's much harder.  I feel very fortunate that Dietrie ended up so close in Madison, the other 2 live in Ohio.  The reason for our trip was to meet the newest member!  Dietrie had a little boy named Dominic on March 29th.  She also has a 2 year old named Amari.
Here's Dominic!  He was very excited to have visitors and slept most of the time we were there.  I think he only woke up once to eat!  Jackson pretty much paid no attention at all to him while Tristan would frequently go over to Dominic and "poke" him in the head.  Not sure what that was about.
Sit and spin toy that Tristan was determined to stand on, he had a blast!
Managed to get a picture of all 4 of them!  Amari and Jackson were having a snack while Tristan attempted to steal it.  Dominic was asleep, as usual.
The kids had a lot of fun!  Amari wanted to come back to Iowa with us!  Dietrie and I also managed to have a nice visit while tending to the children.

Easter!

Easter came kind of early this year due to me having to work on the actual holiday.  Jackson LOVES dyeing Easter eggs or as he calls it "doing Easter".  We did a few last weekend and plan on doing more this week.
I was home Tuesday and the boys were at daycare.  This happens occasionally when I work the following weekend.  We have to pay for daycare anyway that week due to our contract so this day ends up being "my day".  Sometimes I go get some shopping done and sometimes I clean house, which is SO much easier without little ones around.  The Easter bunny came that day and the Easter baskets were full when the boys got home.

See!  The Easter bunny was on our front porch!  It happened to snow this day (yes, I know it's April) and this little guy must have been looking for a warmer place.

The Easter baskets!  Nothing too exciting but the boys enjoyed playing with the new things.

I did manage to get the upstairs cleaned too.  Jackson's room was very messy.  His train table is in his room along with a ton of books scattered everywhere.  He went up to his room at one point that evening and came back down shocked that his room was clean.  He figures the Easter bunny must have cleaned his room.

New Venture

I've decided to try this blog thing.  I agree that it will be a great way to "keep track" of my children and family life.  I'm not sure if I will be able to stick with it but I'm going to try.  Let's meet the boys...

 Tristan
Tristan recently turned 1 and this of course is a picture of him with his cake.  He is our baby and he's been great.  He's usually very smiley, only getting upset if he's hungry or tired.   He enjoys eating, dancing, playing with toys and wrestling with his big brother.

 Jackson
Jackson is 3 and boy is he ever...  He is our oldest.  Like any typical 3 year old he likes to test his limits and can get quite the attitude.  He is also a very loving boy who enjoys pretty much anything with wheels.  And he LOVES to do chores with Papa.
