Gobble Gobble

This year I had to work on Thanksgiving.  We work every other holiday.  I certainly didn't go hungry though, Andrea the kitchen manager always makes Thanksgiving dinner and she makes a feast!  It was absolutely delicious!  Karsten took the boys to his Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner.  His sister and her friend also joined them.

Daffodils

I received a surprise gift from one of my dear friends.  She is an avid gardener and just generally has a very "green thumb".  Some day I would like to have flowers and plants, etc and she knows this.  We also share April birthdays.

After much consideration on where I should plant these, I finally got it done.  I put them in a corner on the north side of our house, right where the "old" house meets the "new" house.  I really hope it wasn't too late to plant them and hopefully by my friend picking these out and handling them before she gave them to me some of her "green" rubbed off so they will grow.

End of an Era

We said goodbye to grandpa today.  I will miss my grandparents always.  But I do take comfort in that they are together again watching over the rest of us.
