Planting

The boys spent some time with Papa in his NEW tractor planting corn today.

They just absolutely LOVE riding in tractors (and any other farm machinery).  I sat in the car reading while they rode with him.  I could hear the horn honking almost continuously and later found out they were also adjusting Papa's chair.  They tried out all the buttons and levers they could find.  They had a blast!

Easter egg hunt

Today we wandered over to the ball diamond here in town for an Easter egg hunt.  The boys had never been to one before so I wasn't sure how we'd do.  I shouldn't worry.  They had a blast!

 Somehow, Tristan managed to find one of the prize eggs.  He received a $5 gift certificate to the Elkader Cinema (too bad he's too little to go to a movie)

We colored Easter eggs tonight!  Jackson loved it, Tristan lost interest after a little while.

Now to figure out what to do with all those hard boiled eggs!

riding bikes

Jackson has always had some trouble with riding his "bike".  It's actually a three wheeler Diego bike.  He's always been shorter than others his age which has made it difficult to reach the pedals.  So far, this year's been different.  He's doing really good.  So good, in fact, that we may have to get him a 2 wheeler (with training wheels of course).  We discovered a great place to practice, just a block away on the tennis court at the park.  It's their new favorite thing to do.

My birthday

Today is my 32nd birthday.  I had to work today but that's okay, I truly enjoy my job and the people I work with.  We had a fairly good day at work, complete with German chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting compliments of Andrea in the kitchen per my request.  Deeee- licious!!  When I got home I got a great big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from my 2 favorite little boys and 1 favorite big boy.  Jackson and Tristan had picked out their own birthday cards and signed them, they also picked out a "MOM" necklace and earring set.  I loved it!
