Don & Arlene Sass Estate Sale

It's been a long haul but the auction is finally here and done!  It was a great day!  It was a hot one but there was still a great turnout.  The only family missing was Traci who couldn't make it from Florida.
The furniture was in front of the house
Tristan and Papa, The Tman made it until around 11:30 then he went home and stayed with a babysitter

Lucas and Jackson in the sandbox.  Everyone was throwing money in the sand so they had a blast finding it all.
Household wagons were in the back of the farm

View of the house from the barn driveway
Rich put this on the Henry J, it was the theme of the day
 Let the sale begin!
Selling Jerome's tractor and the Henry J
 Jim & Rob
 Mike, Kendall & Steve
 Jackson & Alice
Jackson made it through the entire day!
 Everyone was really tired
 Mike and his new wheels!

Mike & Wes with their nephews

We really had a great day!  I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful family.

Line 'em up!

At one point today Tristan was playing very quietly by himself.  As a mother of young children I know that this can lead to trouble.  When I looked to see what he was doing this is what I found...
Jackson used to do the same thing!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!  We didn't do much today but that was okay.  The boys signed cards for Karsten and were so proud to give them to him.  They also made pictures for Papa.  After church we joined Mom and Dad and Mike at the campsite for lunch and some fishing.
 Jackson caught a fish!
 Jackson & Papa fishing
Tristan much more enjoyed playing with the worms
Jackson & Daddy

I think it was a pretty good day all around.  We grilled out hot dogs and brats, then made smores later.  It's always a good time at the campsite.

Hay Days Parade

Our second parade of the year was today in Monona.  Hay Days is back after 20 some years of it being gone.  I remember going to Hay Days when I was younger, it was always a lot of fun.  We didn't go to any of the activities later in the day but we made sure we got to the parade.
Grandma and Papa joined us for the parade
 Joe pulled Grandpa's Model T
Gotta wave or they won't throw candy!
Tristan was accidentally squirted in the face with water early on in the parade, needless to say he didn't enjoy much of it.  This is his usual pose in case of firetruck sirens.
Jackson could hardly carry his bag it was so full of candy!

Outside Fun

After our warm weekend in St. Louis it got pretty warm around here too.  The boys were very anxious to get out all the water stuff.  So we did.

A little video of the boys on our slip 'n slide
We have never been to a big pool so they don't know any better.  So far, they have A BLAST just playing in the yard with the little pool, slip 'n slide and sprinkler.  It's pretty fun to watch them too.

Annual St. Louis trip

Thursday afternoon we set off for St. Louis to visit our good friends The Wyse's.  We've gone down once a year to visit for the past few years.  We always have such a good time!  Jackson just adores Logan, they play together so well.  We never really have any "big" plans while we are there, usually we just hang out in the backyard or visit a nearby park.
 Breakfast one morning
We went to Frontier Park, Jackson & Logan are standing by a statue of Lewis & Clark
Tristan and Layla (gotta love those shades)
All the kiddos on the train
Love this shot of the big boys
Spent a lot of time in the backyard playing on the slip 'n slide and in the pool
 Tristan LOVED it!
He was also a big fan of the swim cap, what a silly boy!
Best buddies!!

We really had a great time!  The boys traveled pretty good and also napped and slept well.  We got to try out The Wyse's new fire pit and Angie and I even got away to get pedicures.  We love visiting St. Louis!  Thanks again Justin, Angie, Logan and Layla!  Until next time!

New Flip Flops

Guess who got some new flip flops....
 These boys did!
The funny part is Tristan cannot pronouce "f", it sounds like a "b".  So flip flops turns into blip blops!
