Father's Day

Today was Father's Day!  We had a full day planned.  Started off with Tristan taking a 2 hour nap in the morning.  He hadn't napped much the day before and we were out late the night before at a wedding reception so he was tired!  After  he woke up we decided to head over to Prairie for Rendezvous Days.  We walked through the flea market for a little bit.  Jackson went on an inflatable ride thing that he loved, he could climb up and slide down and bounce through it.  The guy running it even let him go through twice!  Grabbed some lunch and ate by the river.  This is one of our favorite places to hang out during the summer.  I think it's called St. Feriole Island.  Lots and lots of boats go by and it's really fun to just walk along the river and watch.
Daddy and his boys.
We had to make a quick stop at grocery store to pick up some sale items for vacation.  Then stopped at Dairy Queen for some ice cream!
Yummy!!
Mom and Dad were planning on opening up the campsite for the afternoon so we headed down there next.  We had to make a quick stop at Stark's for worms and a quick stop at home for some drinks and fishing poles.  I just love going to the campsite.  Mike was there too and also Jim and Diane.  There's just something about sitting by a fire surrounded by nature.  Love it!  Here a couple pictures of the fishing.
Tristan so very much wanted to fish.  It was pretty funny.  He knew that you take the pole and hold it over the water but of course couldn't quite figure it out from there.  The campsite overlooks the creek below and it's a pretty good dropoff.  I'm constantly terrified one of the boys is going to fall off.  Mom does a good job of leaving tall grass to mark the edge.
Love, love, LOVE this picture!!  Jackson was loving the fishing today.  It's pretty darn easy to catch chubbs here at the creek but every time he would catch one he would start screaming excitedly!  He will even hold the fish this year whereas last year he wouldn't even touch them.

Happy Father's Day!!
