Vacation: Day 3

We've had today planned for a few weeks.  Mike checked into the Colorado Rockies schedule and found that they had a home game today against the Kansas City Royals so he bought everyone tickets!  So we headed south to Denver.  What a great experience!  Here's a few pics of Coors Field:

It was extremely HOT during the game with temperatures in the upper 90's and our seats were in direct sun.  We took turns sitting in the seats then rotating to go up to concessions where there was shade, you could still see the game from that area.

We were really hoping for some home run hits to right field and we did get our wish!  Except that they were both way over to our right and we had no chance of catching them :(
Jackson saw another little boy with one of those foam fingers and of course wanted one.  I told him to talk to Uncle Mike and see if he would buy one, he's a sucker.  They went up to the concession area to buy one but came back with this semi instead!  We decided it was probably the better choice as he will get much more enjoyment from a semi.

It was really neat to be able to see a MLB game in Colorado but due to the heat and no real naps we ended up leaving in the 7th inning.  The Rockies were losing 8-16 and Jackson had had enough.  Everyone else lasted til the end of the game and the score hadn't changed.  We met up back at the cabin.
We got rained on on the way back to Estes.  Karsten tried to get some pics of the rain falling on the mountains.

After everyone was back at the cabin we went out for supper at The Estes Park Brewery for pizza.  It was delicious!  We had a great day for our first full day in Colorado!
